Who We Are
Phyca Co., Ltd. is a Tokyo-based environmental restoration company founded in March 2026. We integrate ocean science, agriculture, and technology to rebuild the material cycles between sea and land. Our name combines Phycology (algae science), Agriculture, and Carbon — representing the full scope of our circular business model.
Three Business Pillars
1. Seaweed Bed Restoration & Blue Carbon
Using patented fulvic acid iron slow-release block technology (inherited from BCM, proven in a NEDO national project: 78.6% success rate across 14 sea areas), we restore lost seaweed forests and generate J-Blue Carbon Credits valued at 9x standard forest credits.
2. Organic Agriculture & Livestock Support
Seaweed-derived biostimulants increase crop yields by +15% (PLOS ONE 2024). Asparagopsis feed additives reduce cattle methane emissions by 37.7% (PNAS 2024). We support premium Wagyu production with environmental certification for export markets.
3. Technology Implementation
Our 4-layer IoT/AI platform digitizes tacit knowledge in primary industries: satellite monitoring, underwater cameras, AI species identification (93.2% F1 score), and integrated dashboards for data-driven decision making.

40+ years in agriculture and fisheries. Representative of BCM. Led the NEDO national project (2008-2010). Inventor of the fulvic acid iron slow-release block technology. Transferred all technology, knowledge, and research networks to Phyca.
